Tsair-Chun Liang(梁財春) is currently a Professor in the Graduate Institute of Electro-Optical Engineering at the
National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology (NKUST).
He lectures in the areas of electromagnetic wave, fiber-optic communication, and cable television systems. His research interests include optical image processing, applications of fiber grating, and applications of optical amplifiers for wavelength division multiplexing transmission and analog video hybrid fibre-coaxial networks.
He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in physics from the
National Central University (NCU),
Taoyuan, Taiwan, in 1977 and 1979, respectively, where he received the Ph.D. degree at the Institute of Electro-Optical Science in 1995. From 1983 to 1995, he was a Lecturer in the Department of Electronic Communication Engineering,
National Kaohsiung Marine University (NKMU),
Kaohsiung, Taiwan, where he became an Associate Professor in 1995 and became a Professor in 2000. Since 2005, he has been a Professor with the Graduate Institute of Electro-Optical Engineering,
National Kaohsiung First University of Science and Technology (NKFUST),
Kaohsiung. In 2018, NKFUST merged with
National Kaohsiung University of Applied Sciences (KUAS)
and NKMU to form NKUST.
