Introduction

Computer-aided engineering application and design laboratory was established in 1992. The directions of main research include multi-body dynamics, compliant mechanism, biomechanics, optimal design, MEMS and mechanical properties of materials and other related fields.

In recent years, the increasing computer hardware and software technology development enhance and popularize the computer-aided engineering, computational mechanics, optimization of the basic theory, and applied research.

The use of computational mechanical theory, computer simulation analysis methods, and optimization theory avoid time-consuming and costly experiments, instead of using mechanical theory analysis to understand the accurate physical structure and behavior of the system. So that students can effectively control the reaction of system response behavior and enhance the ability of R & D and the design-oriented laboratory of teaching and research objectives.

Main research field:

     Core technology:
(1)  finite element method
(2) compliant mechanism design principle
